Yamaha VR46 Master Camp
The Yamaha VR46 Master Camp is a joint initiative launched in 2016 by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Valentino Rossi's VR46 Riders Academy, aimed at supporting and developing young talent in the world of motorsport. The program includes intensive five-day training sessions held twice a year in Tavullia, Italy, where selected riders learn from the experts at the VR46 Academy. In 2017, the two organizations expanded their collaboration by establishing the VR46 Junior Team project, which provides Master Camp participants and Yamaha bLU cRU riders the opportunity to gain racing experience in Europe. By 2019, the team progressed from the Moto3 category to Moto2 in the CEV Championship, working tirelessly each year to prepare for the next step into the Moto2 World Championship. In 2022, the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team made its debut in the Moto2 World Championship with young and determined riders Keminth Kubo and Manuel Gonzalez. The team’s mission has been to leverage the combined efforts of Yamaha and VR46 to support the next generation of racers, offering them the platform to refine their skills at the world championship level. In 2024, the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team concluded its journey in the Moto2 World Championship following the end of the eight-year collaboration between Yamaha and VR46. The team was represented by Stefano Manzi and Andrea Migno during its final race weekend at the Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona. For MUGENRACE, supporting initiatives and teams like the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp is a key priority. These collaborations play a crucial role in securing the future of motorsport by providing rising talents with opportunities to prove and develop their skills at the highest level.
